Here's our crew on Easter. There are many things about this image that make me smile...and laugh! Aspen LOVES to wear dresses and get all dressed up, etc. Hazel goes with the flow. Sawyer - he doesn't like to get dressed up AT ALL. His outfit of preference would be pajamas, all day every day. He doesn't like anything with "long sleeves" - shirts or pants. He also doesn't really like wearing shoes - flip flops will do if need be. The girls' huge flower crowns - I can't decide if they're cute or funny looking ;) Sawyer's cheesy grin because he really didn't want a picture taken. And then - what you can't see - but we will always remember - is that while we were trying to calm the kids down (this was right before we set them free hunting for Easter eggs)and get at least one picture of them this holiday, our neighbor's dog ran through their garage when it was open and was super excited about his escape! He is a bigger dog, and was just so excited about his freedom, he came running down the street - and straight towards the kids! Of course this startled them and they all started screaming (they get nervous around big dogs, anyway - minus Hazel, our dog lover). It was quite the scene. He would circle around right behind them, brushing by them, and then run back out in a big loop...and come right back at them! His owners were calling for him and the kids were still screaming -- and finally the dad of the family called the dog and he ran home with his tail between his legs. So funny (sort of) :) Seemed like something right out of a Chevy Chase movie or something!
Anyway...here's our trio. We love them so much! We are so excited to be adding another one this fall! I haven't been feeling super great (ha ha) but it will all be worth it when we meet our babe come October. I wanted to at least catch a few of the Egg Hunt since I haven't been very good about pulling out my camera lately.
We had a great Easter Weekend. Baskets on Saturday, Church on Sunday, yummy bbq dinner and an Egg Hunt in our very own yard. Lots to be excited about! This morning, the kids slept til 9:30 -- I call it "holiday weekend hangover" :)
